What does the qualification cover: To prepare learners to work as home-based childcarers/childminders. As well as learning relevant aspects of childcare, this knowledge-based unit supports the development of policies and procedures relevant to registration and the basic business skills to set up a home-based childcare service.

Who is it suitable for: Anyone who works or wants to work with the children and young people’s workforce.

What are our entry requirements: You should be at least 16 years old. We do not set any other entry requirements but colleges or training providers may have their own guidelines.

 How long does it take to complete: This qualification will take 29 hours to complete
